Teletherapy Options for Students

Center for Counseling and Student Development Teletherapy Services

The Center for Counseling and Student Development provides teletherapy counseling sessions for students along with in-person or hybrid (in-person and teletherapy) services. Students can consult with their counselor about which format works best for them.

CCSD utilizes Webex to conduct teletherapy appointments. Webex is a university-sponsored platform that is HIPAA and FERPA compliant and can be accessed via computer or phone.

Eligibility

Teletherapy services through CCSD are available via phone or video to currently enrolled ECU students who have paid the student health service fee. The student must be residing in North Carolina due to professional licensing restrictions.

Mantra Services

East Carolina University has partnered with Mantra Health to expand the accessibility of mental health care for students.

All eligible students* can now access free virtual therapy sessions each academic year. Licensed providers are trained to support the student experience and offer flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends.

Whether you’re managing stress, navigating relationships, or concerned about your mental health, Mantra Health can help.

How to Begin

Visit Mantra Health’s Care Hub or download the Mantra Health app on Apple or Android. Use your ECU email address to create an account and book your first session. It’s free and easy.

IMPORTANT: If necessary, please cancel your appointment with your Mantra Health counselor at least 24 hours in advance to save this appointment for other students in need. Thank you!
