3rd Millennium Classroom
ECU takes the safety of our students seriously. While the likelihood of something adverse happening to one of our students is low, even one incident on our campus is one too many. Therefore, ECU would like to educate our incoming students on personal safety and the safety of others.
The 3rd Millennium Classroom courses pertain to alcohol, cannabis, and healthy relationships. These courses are grounded in the most effective strategies for changing attitudes and behaviors. The courses cover some significant behavioral risks new college students face: alcohol use, cannabis use, and unhealthy relationships. 3rd Millennium Classroom incorporates audio, video, and interactive tools to teach key concepts and skills.
It is the expectation that all first-year students will complete these courses. If you are not a first-year student and would like to complete the courses, please email ecusafetymodules@ecu.edu for more information.
The 3rd Millennium Classroom courses contain critical information for all incoming first year and transfer students, and the courses are accessed online through students’ Pirate Port account.
- Log-in to your ECU Pirate Port page with your Pirate ID and Passphrase.
- Click on the “My Apps” tab at the top of the page.
- Locate the icon (orange triangle) labeled “Safety Awareness” and click it.
Reminders to complete the courses will be sent on a regular basis to students’ ECU e-mail. Access to the courses will be granted on August 1, 2024.
For technical support related to completing the courses, students can email 3rd Millennium Classroom at help@3rdmil.com or call: 1-888-810-7990. Phone lines are open 7 days per week, 8:30am-8:30pm CST and the help email is checked 24/7.
