The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline has been updated to a new three-digit dialing code: 988. Instead of calling 800-273-8255, you can now use this new option. Just call or text 988 to access emotional crisis services.

When you call or text 988, you will be connected to trained counselors that are a part of the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Their counselors are available to listen, provide support and/or connect you will resources if you are in an emotional crisis. This resource is free, confidential and available 24/7.
